In this video tutorial, you’ll learn how to create custom database tables in Microsoft Dataverse by using an Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) as a guide. We’ll walk you through the entire process of building your ERD diagram from our last video where we used ChatGPT to design our application for us.
We’ll then show you how to easily create each table within Dataverse. By the end of the video, you’ll have a solid understanding of how to design and build a database schema using Dataverse, and you’ll be well on your way to creating your own custom applications!
Microsoft Dataverse is a cloud-based database platform that enables users to create and manage database tables for their applications. Creating tables in Microsoft Dataverse involves defining columns, setting data types, and establishing relationships between different fields within the same table or across multiple tables.
It also requires specifying indexes on any of the columns that need to be used as search criteria when querying the data stored in the table. Additionally, it allows users to customize properties such as default values, validation rules, and other settings related to how data is entered into each column of a given table. Finally, once all these items have been specified correctly for a particular table, users can save their work and use it either directly from within Microsoft Dataverse or export it out into an external file format for further manipulation outside of the platform.
