Plan to migrate .rdl reports to Power BI
Public RDL files to Power BI
Publishing/migrating your RDL files from Power BI Report Server to the service is a process that allows you to transfer your existing reports and related data sources from an on-premise installation of Power BI Report Server, into the cloud-based version of Microsoft's reporting platform.
This migration process provides organizations with a streamlined way to move their existing report content into the cloud in order to take advantage of the many features available through the service such as scalability, better performance, enhanced security and improved collaboration capabilities. The process involves exporting each report or data source individually using either PowerShell commands or Visual Studio tools before publishing them to their destination within Power BI Service. Once complete, these reports can then be shared securely with users both inside and outside an organization for viewing and analysis purposes.
