Get rid of the old attachments icon in Microsoft Lists

Thanks to JSON and PowerAutomate users are able to replace the attachments icon by Federico Sapia


Microsoft Lists is packed with great new features, increasing all the time. This includes great things as seen, e.g., in articles shared by Michel Mendes and Tetsuya Kawahara about the split operator. This gave Federico Sapia a great idea:

Because of the JSON and PowerAutomate, users are able to replace the attachments icon or even take advantage of a completely new experience with:

  • Filename displayed for the attachment
  • Office Icon, based on the file extension
  • Label to open an Office file with its corresponding #Microsoft 365 app
