Unlock latest enhancements in Microsoft 365! Explore Copilot updates, AI features, Bing support for DALL.E 3, and unique join links in Teams!

The latest Microsoft 365 updates for September include an array of new features and improvements across various services.

Beginning with Microsoft Copilot, the software will undergo a major roll out starting September 26. Major improvements will include over 150 new features, adding functionality to apps such as Paint, Photos, and Clipchamp. Bing will also be incorporating the latest DALL.E 3 model from OpenAI for more personalized search results.


Copilot Updates:

  1. Windows 11 Integration: Copilot rolls out as part of a free update starting from Sept. 26.
  2. Other Integrations: Bing, Edge, and Microsoft 365 Copilot updates arriving this fall.
  3. Windows 11 Features: Over 150 new features in the upcoming Windows 11 update.
  4. Bing: Support for DALL.E 3 model from OpenAI with AI-powered shopping experiences and Bing Chat Enterprise updates.
  5. Microsoft 365 Copilot: Available for enterprise customers from Nov. 1, 2023, along with Microsoft 365 Chat.
  6. Surface Devices: Launch of new devices available for pre-order.
  7. CSP Offerings: Starting at the end of Q1 2024.

Microsoft Teams:

  1. External Presenters: Unique join links for external event presenters (Available: late October to early November).
  2. Immersive Spaces: Featuring Microsoft Mesh for 3D meeting experiences (Available: October 2023).
  3. Teams Town Hall: Introduction and replacement of Teams Live Events (Available: Early October 2023; Discontinued: After September 30, 2024).
  4. Outlook Add-in: Teams Meeting Add-in in Outlook Support for Multi-Tenant Multi-Account scenarios.
  5. Mac Preview: New Microsoft Teams desktop app for Mac (Available: Early September 2023).

Entra ID (Azure AD):

  1. Password Changes: On-premises password changes for user risks in Entra ID Protection.
  2. Conditional Access: Overview and Templates now generally available.

Microsoft Intune:

  1. Remote Help: Now available on macOS and additional helpdesk capabilities.

Outlook:

  1. Time-Zone Notification: For meeting participants in Outlook on the Web (Available: mid-October 2023 to late October 2023).

Microsoft Defender:

  1. Phishing Simulation: Configuration requirement for emails.
  2. URL Blocking: Tenant Allow Block List to support Top-Level Domain (Available: late September 2023 to late October 2023).

Microsoft Purview:

  1. Audit Retention: Default retention for Audit (Standard) changes from 90 days to 180 days.
