The Delete Chat function has arrived in the Teams Chat app, according to message center notice MC466199 (12 November). Users can remove their access to 1:1, group, and meeting chats after deployment (except webinar events). Item 90723 in the Microsoft 365 roadmap is this. The code is expected to be released in the Teams desktop, browser (including the PWA client), and mobile clients in early December 2022.

With Delete Chats, users can permanently delete entire conversations from their view. This does not affect what any other users in the chat see.
