This is a brief guide on configuring the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policy for Power Automate for Desktop. An organization's data is critical to its success. To protect this data, Power Automate allows administrators to create and enforce policies that define how connectors can access and share it. These are known as data loss prevention (DLP) policies.

  • Setting up DLP is a prerequisite for desktop flows.
  • You can classify desktop flow modules and individual module actions as Business, Non-business, or Blocked to prevent misuse.
  • Enforcement of DLP policies is available for Managed Environments only.
  • As of September 2023, only desktop flows located in Managed Environments are evaluated by DLP policies.
  • DLP for desktop flows is available for Power Automate for desktop versions 2.14.173.21294 or later.
  • You can view desktop flow action groups by turning on the Show desktop flow actions in DLP.
