Today, a significant milestone has been announced for identity and network access as Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) is becoming Microsoft Entra ID. Inspired by the commitment to simplify secure access experiences, the Azure AD is rebranded as Microsoft Entra ID to enhance navigation in the unified and expanded Microsoft Entra portfolio. Rest assured, the user's ongoing work, and all configurations and integrations will continue as usual without any intervention needed.
The rebranding will not disturb the user's work and will start appearing in Microsoft product experiences from August 2023. There is no action required as users can continue to rely on Azure AD capabilities accessed through the Azure portal, Microsoft 365 admin center, and the Microsoft Entra admin center. The only change that will occur is in the name.
