With this trick, you can make a folder hidden on a Windows PC so others can't find it easily.

  • Create a new folder or select an existing folder you want to hide.
  • Right-click on the folder and select "Properties."
  • Under the "General" tab, check the box next to "Hidden" in the "Attributes" section.
  • Click "Apply" to save changes.
  • Once the folder is set as hidden, it will become transparent and harder to see.
  • To view hidden folders, open the File Explorer and click on the "View" tab.
  • Check the box for "Hidden items" in the "Show/hide" group.
  • To unhide the folder, right-click on it and uncheck "Hidden" in the "Attributes" section of the folder properties.
  • Click "Apply" to save changes and make the folder visible again.
  • This method doesn't provide strong security, but it helps to keep your folders from casual viewings.

One way to hide a folder on a Windows PC is by changing the folder's attributes. Right-click the folder and select Properties. On the General tab, check the box for Hidden and click OK. This will hide the folder, but it will still be accessible if you know the exact path to the folder. The folder will also remain visible in Windows File Explorer. To truly hide the folder, you need to make the folder a system folder. This will make the folder invisible to most users.

To make the folder a system folder, right-click the folder and select Properties. On the General tab, check the box for Hidden and click the Advanced button.
