Copilot Cowork: World Cup Newsletter

Key insights

• Copilot Cowork is a new execution layer in Microsoft 365 that turns one prompt into work across apps like Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and the calendar.
It coordinates actions across files and apps instead of just answering questions.
• Major updates include expanded built-in skills and deeper integrations such as Fabric IQ with Power BI and scenarios in Dynamics 365.
Microsoft also added third-party connectors (examples: LSEG, Miro, monday.com, S&P Global Energy) and rolling availability through Frontier.
• Core behavior focuses on executing multi-step tasks, producing parallel outputs (Word, PowerPoint, email) and keeping work inside a persistent session.
Microsoft frames this as a shift from chat-style replies to coordinated action.
• World Cup newsletter workflow: gather recent content from email, docs, notes and connected sources; summarize into a Word draft; create a PowerPoint outline if needed; draft follow-up email or calendar actions; save files in OneDrive for review.
This makes newsletter production faster and more consistent.
• Practical notes: user-facing starter tasks include Organize my inbox, Arrange my week, Prep for a meeting, and Research a company.
Model choices (for example Anthropic models) and feature availability can depend on tenant settings and Frontier enrollment.
• Next step offer: I can create a ready-to-use Copilot Cowork prompt tailored for a fan news, business sponsorship, or internal newsletter workflow to speed your production.
