Azure SQL Database External REST Endpoints Integration Public Preview

The Early Adopter Preview in May that allowed users to directly call a REST endpoint from an Azure SQL Database is now being upgraded to Public Preview.

I'm thrilled that as of right now, everyone may use the new system stored procedure sp invoke external rest endpoint automatically and transparently from any Azure SQL Database they may already have or create in the future.

• Datasets - Execute Queries
  Executes Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) queries against the provided dataset. The dataset must reside in My workspace or another workspace.

• Azure SQL DB spinvokeexternalrestendpoint samples
  spinvokeexternalrestendpoint is a system stored procedure that allows native invocation of an HTTPS REST endpoint from Azure SQL DB.
