One of the biggest advantages of using a cloud platform like SharePoint is the ability to share documents with others by sharing links instead of attachments in the email. There are lots of advantages to this, all of which I documented in an earlier post

Basics of SharePoint Share

  1. Share via Link: You can share Word documents in SharePoint and OneDrive by creating a link to the document. The recipient of the link will be able to view or edit the document, depending on what level of access you grant them.
  1. Invite Users: You can also invite specific users to collaborate on a document stored in SharePoint or OneDrive. This is useful for when you need multiple people working together on one file at once, such as for editing purposes or general collaboration tasks.
  1. Embed Documents: Lastly, you can embed documents from SharePoint and OneDrive into other websites and applications so that they are always accessible without having to log into your account first. This is especially useful if you want others to be able to view your documents without needing an account with either service provider (SharePoint/OneDrive).
