About the Event

A Continental Community Gathering

The inaugural .NET Africa Conference is planned as a three-day, in-person event at Microsoft South Africa in Johannesburg, from 24 to 26 November 2026. Organised as a community-led, non-profit initiative, it brings together .NET groups from across Africa on a shared platform. The conference is intended to encourage knowledge exchange, professional development, and links between communities.

Technology Areas

Topics include .NET and ASP.NET Core, Azure and cloud computing, and artificial intelligence and machine learning. Other areas listed by the organiser are .NET MAUI and mobile development, DevOps, software architecture, cybersecurity, and modern software engineering. The event is designed for technical learning alongside community interaction.

Building Connections

The event is intended for people studying or working in software, technology decision-makers, system designers, and members of Microsoft communities from across the continent and elsewhere. Its wider purpose is to support collaboration across countries and strengthen the region’s .NET ecosystem. Organisers describe this first conference as the start of a continuing initiative, with later editions expected to take place in different African countries. Attendance is free.
