Copilot Super App: What to Expect

Key insights

• Copilot Super App — A single, unified AI workspace that merges consumer Copilot and Microsoft 365 Copilot into one app.
It connects to Office apps and groups core experiences into Home, Code and Autopilot for a smoother user flow.
• Home (Chat & Cowork) — Provides conversational search, content creation and collaborative workflows.
Cowork supports multi-step team tasks and the system routes intent so users don’t need to pick the right AI mode manually.
• Code — Lets users generate apps, dashboards and trackers from natural-language prompts and publish them as cloud-hosted internal tools.
This lowers the technical barrier and speeds developer and citizen-developer workflows.
• Autopilot (Agents) — Runs named, goal-driven agents that perform recurring or multi-step work like monitoring deadlines and following up on commitments.
These agents shift AI from one-off replies to ongoing task execution.
• Enterprise controls & Billing — Includes a unified plugin registry, Copilot Managed Runtime, Work IQ/Fabric IQ and tools for seat vs consumption billing.
FinOps features help track cost, measure value and control AI spend at scale.
• Organizational impact — Consolidation reduces app switching and simplifies training while enabling faster solution creation.
Organizations must adopt governance, data protection, plugin and agent safety, and change-management practices to capture value responsibly.
