More about Power Automate Trigger

Trigger conditions are used to control when a Power Automate flow is triggered. The trigger condition can be based on a variety of things, such as the arrival of an email or file, changes in data from other applications, or user input. Using trigger conditions helps ensure that the flow only runs when needed and doesn’t waste resources by running unnecessarily.

When you create a new flow, you’ll first choose your trigger condition. Depending on which type of connector you use for your trigger condition, there may be additional settings available to further refine what should cause the flow to run. For example, if you want your flow to run whenever someone posts a tweet with certain keywords in it, then you could set up a Twitter connector with those keywords entered into the filter field so that only tweets matching those criteria will trigger the flow.

Once your initial trigger condition has been established, you can also add additional conditions within individual steps of your workflow using “If/Then” logic (also known as “conditional branching”). This allows for more complex workflows where specific actions are taken depending on different inputs or results at various stages in the process.
