NEW! Convert Picture to Data in Excel DESKTOP - Fail or Pass?

You can now convert a picture to Excel data in the Excel Desktop app (before you could just do this in the Office app but now this feature is also available in Excel Desktop for Office 365 - currently in beta insider version).

It takes a lot of time to manually enter data from a printed image into Excel. You may now create a worksheet from an image with text and numbers in Excel for Windows using the NEW Data from Picture function. This might be a jpg file, a screenshot from a website, or a newspaper photo. The fact that the table isn't an html table prevents you from using Power Query to retrieve data from a website. Simply take a screenshot of the desktop version of Excel and import the data using the new "data from picture" option. I'll demonstrate its operation and effectiveness in this video.
