Unlock PowerPoint Webs newest feature: Microsoft 365s Auto Bullet Formatting.

Bulleted lists are one of the most used features in PowerPoint for the web. They help you effectively tell your story – with short, easy to scan, high impact statements.

Previously, you had to set up a bulleted list: switch to the ribbon, choose the type of bullet you wanted, and then select the desired bullet icon style. Now you can create bulleted lists without having to lift your fingers off the keyboard or break your editing flow.

How it works

1 Insert a textbox in PowerPoint for the web and start adding text.

2 Type one of the symbols or numbers below to start your bulleted list with the corresponding bullet or numeric style, then press the spacebar.

Microsoft 365 Insiders

Microsoft 365 Insiders have access to a new feature in PowerPoint for web that automatically applies a bullet formatting to text when entered in a text box. The new feature simplifies the process of creating bulleted lists, as users no longer have to manually format the text. Instead, text that is entered in a text box will be automatically formatted into bullets.

The feature is available to users who have opted into the Insiders program. It is currently rolling out gradually and will be available to all Microsoft 365 Insiders in the coming weeks.
