Furthermore, Together Mode will now display raised hands and reactions within the view.</p><p>These updates are available to all users in the Public Preview channel. To enable, users can go to View → Together Mode during their meeting to see the new features.</p><p>This feature is supported on multiple platforms including Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, Linux, Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft Edge. Instead of seeing participants in separate rectangular boxes, as in a traditional video conference layout, Together Mode places users in a shared virtual environment, like an auditorium, meeting room, or café. The idea is to create a more immersive and cohesive meeting experience that feels like everyone is in the same room, even when they’re physically apart. This can help to enhance connection and reduce fatigue in virtual meetings.</p><p>As of my knowledge cut-off in September 2021, Together Mode could support up to 49 participants at a time. It uses AI segmentation technology to digitally place participants in the shared environment.
