OneNote notebooks stored in SharePoint Team sites are stored in the Documents library on the team site. The notebook will appear as a folder in the Documents library. All of the pages associated with the notebook will be stored inside this folder. OneNote notebooks stored in SharePoint Team sites can be opened, edited, and shared by anyone who has access to the team site. Additionally, the notebook will be stored in the same version control system as other documents stored within the Documents library on the team site. This makes it easy to keep track of changes made to the notebook over time.
