During this video, we will check how Power BI Admins can get User’s My Workspace Access. Power BI provides secure storage for user data in their “My Workspaces”. By default, these workspaces are private and can only be shared with others if the owner has a Pro or Premium Per User license. However, in some cases, Power BI administrators may need access to these workspaces for tasks such as fixing dataset refresh failures, controlling access to sensitive data, retrieving content when an employee leaves the organization, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
To address these needs, Power BI has introduced a feature that allows administrators to access users’ My workspaces when necessary, through the Workspaces tab in the Admin Portal.
