Available to specific Microsoft 365 subscribers, Avatars allow a customizable, expressive alternative to the current video/no video option in Teams meetings, aiming to encourage engagement and collaboration.&#160;</p><p><br></p><p>The new immersive spaces for Teams offer a more natural, in-person-like experience during meetings, complete with spatial audio, which can be accessed through PC or VR headsets. It's available for Teams Technology Adoption Program customers.</p><p><br></p><p>The Mesh platform, currently in private preview, has enabled organizations to develop custom applications fostering connection and collaboration. Biopharmaceutical leader, Takeda, has employed Mesh to create immersive environments, such as a garden representing their corporate philosophy, and a virtual museum displaying patient stories. Other companies, including Accenture, DXC Technology, PwC, Telefonica, and the World Economic Forum, have also integrated Mesh for various applications.&#160;</p><p><br></p><p>Developers and creators can use Mesh to build synchronized environments and interactions for users on PCs and VR headsets, with avatar representation and spatial audio capabilities. Mesh integrates with Unity and provides a suite of tools for creating 3D environments, adding interactivity, integrating web videos, assigning physical properties to objects, and diagnosing potential issues. Mesh's advanced event management capabilities can also facilitate the organization of large, immersive events.
