Power Platform admins aim to ensure that all users of Power Apps have the resources they need to use Power Platform easily and productively. Previously, admins assisted makers through welcome emails, wikis, or internal portals to support their learning journey and ensure a strong start.

With the maker welcome content feature, admins can now easily customize the welcome content seen by Power Apps maker portal users. This helps keep everyone updated on essential messages such as security policies, knowledge bases, the environment's purpose, and support information. To leverage this feature, Managed Environments must be enabled, allowing the customization of Markdown content and the definition of a welcome content URL.

Makers encountering the welcome message in the maker portal can choose to dismiss it but can revisit the content on the Learn page at any time. Admins can update the content, overriding the "do not see this again" checkbox, and effectively use the maker welcome content as a push notification system. This versatility allows for the communication of updated policies, survey prompts, or information on popular apps. The potential uses are vast!
