Microsoft Copilot Super App: Whats New

Key insights

• Copilot Super App: Microsoft combines chat, coding, and long‑running agents into one unified AI workspace to serve as a single front door for personal and business tasks.
It merges consumer and Microsoft 365 experiences into the same app while keeping account types separate.
• Home, Code, Autopilot: Home is the general starting point for chat and multi‑step Cowork tasks.
Code generates apps, dashboards, and automations from plain language prompts.
Autopilot runs background, long‑running work continuously.
• Office integration: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint editing live inside Copilot so users can create and update files without switching apps.
This keeps files and Copilot actions on the same work surface.
• Persistent agents: You can assign agents a name, role, and goal so they keep working in their own cloud workspace when you’re away.
This shifts Copilot from a chat helper to a task execution platform that routes work automatically.
• User and business benefits: The new design reduces app switching, speeds multi‑step task completion, and lets non‑developers build simple apps with natural language.
Autopilot adds continuity by running recurring and background tasks for teams and individuals.
• Rollout and evolution: Microsoft is rolling the experience out in stages and refining which features live in the app and how they integrate with Microsoft 365 governance.
Many capabilities will arrive through previews and phased updates.
