Explore Microsofts innovative Graph API for enhanced multi-geo site discovery, presented by expert Diksha Upadhyay.

In an 8-minute developer-focused demo, Diksha Upadhyay of Microsoft introduces a new graph API that allows users to discover and fetch all sites across a geographic location for a particular tenant with just a single Graph API call. The new API offers a similar experience to using the Sites API, but with an expanded scope, and also supports OData query parameters.

  • Review of existing Sites API included in demo
  • Live demonstration of the new multi-geo site discovery API performed
  • New API supports OData query parameters for flexibility
  • Community demo taken from a weekly Microsoft 365 Platform Community call

Demo presenter is Diksha Upadhyay from Microsoft. Supporting materials include documentation on the Sites API, as well as the Microsoft 365 Unified Sample gallery and Microsoft 365 Platform Community links.

A Closer Look at the New API

This new Microsoft Graph API is innovative in supporting multi-geo site discovery for particular tenants. It significantly simplifies the process by allowing a site to be discovered and fetched via a single API call. Moreover, the API maintains the experience of using the already existing Sites API, while also supporting OData query parameters, thus offering developers a great deal of flexibility. It is indeed a testament to Microsoft's commitment to streamlining the operations of developers on its platform.

Learn about Multi-geo support for site discovery with Microsoft Graph

With Microsoft Graph, developers can use the multi-geo support for site discovery to retrieve all sites across a geo for a particular tenant with one Graph API call. This is similar to using the Sites API, but with added support for OData query parameters. Diksha Upadhyay presented a demo of this feature on the Microsoft 365 Platform Community call on May 23, 2023.
