How to Creating custom frames for Canva

Creating custom frames for Canva is a great way to make your designs stand out and give them an extra bit of personality. Frames can be used to add emphasis, highlight important information, or simply provide visual interest. With Canva’s easy-to-use editor, you can create unique frames in no time at all.

To begin creating custom frames with Canva:

  1. Select the shape tool from the left side menu and choose a frame that best suits your design needs. You can use one of the preset shapes provided by Canva or draw your own using the freeform pen tool.
  2. Adjust the size and position of your frame as desired by dragging it into place on your canvas or adjusting its dimensions directly in the toolbar at the top of screen.
  3. If needed, customize further by adding shadows, gradients, borders and more—all available through options found within each shape's settings panel on right side menu bar (make sure "Editing" mode is selected).

4 Add any additional elements you'd like such as text boxes or images to complete your design!
