ALL ignores any filters coming from other fields. This feature is particularly useful when calculating percentages of the total in a visual.</p><p>ALLSELECTED, on the other hand, only ignores filters coming from inside the visual itself, accepting filters from elsewhere in the visual or on the page. This difference becomes clear when working with an example dataset. With no filters applied, both functions produce the same output. But when external filters are applied, the output differs, with ALLSELECTED allowing those filters to impact its results.</p><p>The difference between these functions is crucial depending on the context. The ALL function ignores all filters, whether they come from the same visual or outside. In contrast, the ALLSelected function only ignores filters from the same visual and accepts filters from outside.</p><p>In practice, when calculating percentages, ALLSelected is often used when the calculation is required not by grand total but by the total based on the selection of slicers.
