This features empowers PowerPoint users to create more accessible presentations by easily inserting closed captions to embedded videos directly within PowerPoint for Windows and macOS. Users can insert captions by selecting the video, choosing Insert Captions from the Playback Ribbon, and then selecting the WebVTT files to be included.

The closed captions option will be available for viewers to turn on when the PowerPoint presentation is shared using PowerPoint Live in a Microsoft Teams meeting. Viewers can simply click on the closed caption button on the video player and select the preferred language from the menu.

Once activated, the video closed captions will appear at the bottom of the slide for only the respective attendee, allowing every participant to personalize the closed caption settings without disturbing others who would prefer it turned off.
