Microsoft-owned LinkedIn is introducing a free verification system that enables users to authenticate their identity and their workplace. Users can verify their identity using CLEAR or Microsoft’s Entra verified ID platform. They can also verify their workplace by using a company-issued email address or through Entra if their organization uses it. Unlike other social media platforms, LinkedIn’s verification system is free, and users who pay for CLEAR can display that their identity is verified on their LinkedIn profile using a US government-issued ID and phone number.

LinkedIn will emphasize verifications on profiles with a green and blue check, but it doesn't seem to be going over and above to give a badge that shows next to your name on all of LinkedIn.
