(Preview) Use ‘Solution checker’ in Managed Environments

“ Solution checker enforcement , is a new feature in Managed Environments that gives admins much more control over the customizations in their environments.”

The development of model-driven app can end up with complex solutions when customizing and extending the Microsoft Dataverse platform, which can increase the risk of performance, stability, and reliability issues. The solution checker feature is introduced as a tool to perform a static analysis check on solutions against a set of best practice rules. The feature helps identify problematic patterns quickly and generates a detailed report listing the issues, components, and affected code with links to documentation on how to resolve each issue.

• Dataverse custom workflow activities
• Dataverse web resources (HTML and JavaScript)
• Dataverse configurations, such as SDK message steps
• Power Automate flows (via flow checker)
• Power Fx expressions (via app checker)

“Starting March 2022, solution checker won’t analyze plugins in solutions. Plugin validations are being modernized and will eventually focus on the native plugin authoring time, which will help you detect and fix issues earlier.”
