Power BI Administrator Role Renamed as Fabric Administrator

On May 23, 2023, Microsoft launched Microsoft Fabric, a comprehensive, lake-centric SaaS solution for data integration, engineering, warehousing, real-time analytics, data science, and business intelligence (BI) using Power BI. All of these functions are managed through the Fabric Admin portal, previously known as the Power BI admin portal. Starting from June 2023, the Power BI Administrator role will be rebranded as Fabric Administrator, in line with the expanded responsibilities. All Microsoft applications, including Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Graph APIs, Microsoft 365, and GDAP, will gradually adopt this new role name. However, Microsoft reminds users that their application code and scripts should not be decision-dependent on role or display names.
