Microsoft recently announced the public preview of Video Closed Captions in PowerPoint Live. This new feature allows users to easily add closed captions to their live presentations, which can be viewed by all attendees regardless of device or location. The captions are generated automatically and can be edited for accuracy or clarity if needed.
“A new feature in PowerPoint Live called closed captions aims to make it easier for people who are Deaf or hard of hearing, have trouble understanding spoken language, have trouble processing auditory information, or are simply entering the meeting from a noisy environment to comprehend the auditory content being shared. Every video that includes a closed captions file will now provide meeting participants the option to enable closed captions.”
PowerPoint users who are looking to create accessible presentations can easily add closed captions to any embedded PowerPoint video directly from within PowerPoint for Windows and macOS.
