BIG NEWS! OneNote on Windows (Desktop) is getting an option to allow the UI to look similar to the Win 10 version, with everything on the left & the horizontal tabs removed

Microsoft has come forth on the matter of OneNote on Windows. The ability to make the user interface resemble the OneNote version for Windows 10 with pages, sections, and notebooks positioned on the left and the horizontal tabs disappearing was cited as the top desire from educators and schools interested in switching to the OneNote version for Windows (desktop).

And early 2023 is the current projected arrival date for it. Users will then be able to switch their OneNote experience on Windows to the same left-facing layout as in OneNote for Windows 10, Web, Mac, and iPad using the new Vertical Tabs option. OneNote users on Windows will soon be able to access this feature.

With this update, educators and students can make OneNote Desktop look just like web, Mac and iPad.
