In this step-by-step tutorial, learn how to insert images directly into cells in Microsoft Excel.

Instead of floating on top of the worksheet, your photos can now be a part of it. Within an Excel table, you can sort and filter data, move and resize cells, and interact with them. Many new scenarios, including tracking inventories, generating employee dashboards, and designing games and brackets, are made possible and unlocked by this upgrade.

The IMAGE function inserts images into cells from a source location, along with alternative text. All you need to do is type the following into a cell: =IMAGE(source, [alt_text], [sizing], [height], [width])
