Text Only shortcut is available in Word for Windows and Word for Mac!

„Hi, Microsoft 365 Insiders! I’m Ali Forelli, a Product Manager on the Word team working on Accessibility features. I’m happy to announce that the Paste Text Only shortcut is available in Word for Windows and Word for Mac!“

Microsoft is adding a new keyboard shortcut to Word, allowing users to paste content as plaintext without any formatting. The Control + Shift + V shortcut, commonly used in other apps, is currently being rolled out to users using Word beta on both Mac and PC.

While Word has had the option to remove formatting from pasted content, this new shortcut offers a quicker and more convenient way to paste content as plaintext. However, some users may prefer to use the ribbon option to remove formatting instead, which offers the choice to keep the original formatting, match the formatting of the document, or use plaintext.
