Copilot in Power Pages (Preview)

Microsoft has announced new AI capabilities for Power Pages, offering developers advanced tools for building and launching data-centric business websites. The AI enhancements come via Copilot in Power Pages and are now available in public preview in North America.

The Copilot feature allows for faster web development, offering tools to generate text, build detailed forms, and create chatbots. It utilizes natural language input and intelligent suggestions for more efficient operations.

The integration of Copilot chatbot activation provides the opportunity to create contextual chatbots with generative answers, enhancing user interaction with websites.

Microsoft also announced the upcoming AI capabilities of Power Pages, including page creation, site theming, and image generation, expected to launch in summer 2023.

Another key feature is the introduction of virtual table and Power Automate integration, enabling developers to build websites that connect to a broad range of business data sources. This functionality allows developers to trigger a Power Automate cloud flow from webpage events.

Microsoft also introduced developer websites for Power Pages, aimed at helping developers create and test Power Pages websites without time-bound expiration dates.

Additionally, Microsoft is making it easier for administrators to securely control website data, with the introduction of data loss prevention (DLP) capabilities. This will enable administrators to control anonymous access to a website’s data.

The new features are set to roll out throughout summer 2023.
