Microsoft announces Canva competitor with new 'Designer' app powered by AI

Microsoft Designer uses the OpenAI DALLE-2 model to help create designs faster. Users can sign up for the free preview today.

A new Microsoft Designer software was announced (along with some preview photos) a few months ago. Microsoft unveiled its new graphic-design app, Microsoft Designer, as well as its "Create" website and upcoming Image Creator tool during its Fall Surface event on October 12. During the event, the firm also unveiled three new Surface PCs and two new accessories.
